1. Nominating Committee
- The Library Council elects at the first meeting of each
calendar year, two members to serve on the Nominating Committee.
- The Nominating Committee shall present to Library Council
at the meeting in April a slate of candidates for each standing
committee and elected representative vacancy of Library Council.
2. Committee on Professional Conditions
- Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council elects annually in April/May, one member to serve on the Committee on Professional Conditions for a two-year period. This committee consists of five members: two who are elected, two who are appointed by the Vice Provost (Libraries and Cultural Resources), and one who is the Libraries and Cultural Resources TUCFA representative. The Committee works on behalf of Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council members regarding any issue of practice or professional conditions raised by its members. It is responsible for ensuring that the Guidelines for Academic Staff in Libraries and Cultural Resources is current with Libraries and Cultural Resources and the APT Manual. (05.03.01)
- Where desirable the Committee may strike sub-committees with additional members of Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council to address specific issues. Subcommittees must be composed of all discipline areas of Libraries and Cultural Resources (archivists, curators, and librarians) affected by the issues under consideration. (06.04.21)
- Terms of service shall begin on July 1 and end of June 30 two years later. (97.09.26)
3. Selection, Promotions, and Appointment Review Committee
- The Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council elects annually in April/May, ten members (including at least one archivist, one curator, and one librarian) to serve on the Selection, Promotions and Appointment Revie Commitee. The Committee shall supply members for academic selection committees, the Libraries and Cultural Resources Promotions Committee, and Academic Appointment Review Committees. In conformity with the terms of reference of these committees, the Vice Provost (Libraries and Cultural Resources) shall select representatives and alternates. (04.02.26)
- All members are eligible for nomination to serve on the Committee, except for individuals holding the position of Vice Provost (Libraries and Cultural Resources) or Associate University Librarian. (00.10.06)
- All elected candidates will serve for a period of one year. Terms of service will begin on July 1 and end on June 30 of the following year. (00.10.06)
- The Nominating Committee will encourage the participation of up to two initial term or limited term appointees. (00.10.06)
4. Fellowship Leave Committee

- The Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council elects annually in April/May, two members to serve on the Fellowhsip Leave Committee. The candidate receiving the most votes will serve a two-year term. The other candidate will serve a one-year term. Two members are to be appointed by the Vice Provost (Libraries and Cultural Resources). This committee consists of five members: three who are elected, and two who are appointed by the Vice Provost (Libraries and Cultural Resources). The Chair is the person who is elected for two years in their second year. (03.05.30)
- The Fellowship Leave Commitee reviews applications for Professional Leave pursuant to Article 17 of the Agreement and makes recommendations to the Vice Provost (Libraries and Cultural Resources). (00.10.06)

5. Agenda Committee
- The Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council electes annually in April/May, two members to serve with the Secretary of Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council and the Associate University Librarian for Planning and Administration on the Agenda Committee. (06.05.26)
- Where desirable the Commitee may strike a sub-committee with additional members of Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council to address specific issues. (86.09.25)

6. Continuing Education Committee
- The Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council elects annual in April/May, two members to serve on the Continuing Education Committee. This committee consists of four elected members: two from Libraries and Cultural Resources, one from Support Staff Council, and one from Management and Professional Staff Council. (03.05.30)
- Terms of service shall begin on July 1 and end on June 30 of the following year.
7. Travel Commitee

- The Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council electes annual two members in April/May to serve on the Travel Commitee. The Vice Provost (Libraries and Cultural Resources) chairs the committee. The committee advises the Vice Provost (Libraries and Cultural Resources) on the merits of travel grant proposals, promotes awarenessof research presentation opportunities, encourages applications and reports annually to Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council.
