Terms of Reference:
To provide a forum for the Libraries and Cultural Resources (LCR) Management and Professional Staff (MaPS) to discuss work-related issues of concern as well as the opportunity for open and continuous dialogue with senior administration.
Management & Professional Staff Council will meet approximately 5 times per year (September, November, January, March, and May). Issues can be raised at any time and do not have to be held over until the next scheduled meeting.
Membership
LCR MaPS Council membership includes:
a. Any person holding a Management and Professional staff appointment in Libraries and Cultural Resources.
b. The Vice Provost (Libraries and Cultural Resources) (Ex-Officio) (non-voting) or designate.
c. One representative or designated alternate from the Libraries and Cultural Resources Academic Council (non-voting).
d. One representative or designated alternate from the Libraries and Cultural Resources Support Staff Council (non-voting).
Other persons may be invited to attend meetings when appropriate. Only members in “category a”, may vote or serve on MaPS Council committees.
Term:
Elected annually in the June meeting.
Positions:
Chair
- Determine dates for meetings ( usually held every second month excluding June to August)
- Determine availability of the Director to ensure he or his representative can attend
- Chair meetings
- Ensure elections for the Executive and Representatives are held every May
Secretary
- Keep members mailing list updates
- Book rooms for meetings
