Ethics Approval
Ethics Ethics approval is required when researching human subjects. The guidelines should be reviewed carefully before writing or presenting on a topic involving human subjects or before submitting any grant application. Libraries and Cultural Resources falls under the Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board (CFREB).
Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Researching Humans This statement provides the basis for guidelines in Canadian Universities. It has been adopted by the federal granting agencies SSHRC, NSERC and CIHR.
