Mailing lists (Broadcast Messaging)

Broadcast Messages - Mailing lists have been established which allow staff to communicate with groups. These range from the entire LCR staff list to task groups or administrative units. Use of the LCR (lcr-all) & Library (lib-m) lists is reserved for messages of wide interest. Some messages may not be of interest to everyone, but utilizing the LCR or Library lists allows for an efficient method of delivery. Staff may elect to delete messages not directly relevant to them. Information Technology Services monitors the appropriateness of messages sent to the LCR and Library lists and advises staff who are not using E-mail appropriately. This is done in confidentiality.
