Internet Access

Access to the campus network provides access (via email or the Web) to external resources. While many of these resources are directly pertinent to a staff member's work, there are also many of general interest. Monitoring subject and discipline related resources is work-related. Participation in lists or news groups is not normally monitored however, staff should exercise judgment in time spent on non work- related email & Internet activities. This should be viewed with the same caution as personal telephone calls, personal use of University supplies and services and the appropriate use of work time.
